Spam Alert!

Do you regularly check your spam file on WP? I mostly forget to do so, but when I do, I find it quite entertaining, so I’ve decided to share some of those messages with you (maybe you even received the same ones?):

Generally I do not read post on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very pressured me to take a look at and do so! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thank you, very nice article. ==> Oh dear! I hate to have pressured this person, but at least “my writing style has been surprised”.

Wow! This can be one particular of the most beneficial blogs We have ever arrive across on this subject. Actually Excellent. I am also an expert in this topic so I can understand your hard work. ==> Err… What? We have ever arrive across on this subject? But yes, I agree, this is a very beneficial blog, thank you!

Hello there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and found that it is truly informative. I am gonna watch out for brussels. I will be grateful if you continue this in future. Numerous people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers! ==> Watch out for brussels? Like in Belgium? Or Brussels sprouts? I am really sorry, but you won’t find any Brussels sprouts here, even though they are in fact delicious and nutritious. Cheers to you, too!

a good start! ==> Well, yes, I guess you can still say that after one year of blogging… Thank you!

  1. At least the anti-spam software that WP is using is doing a good job 😉
One thing I’ve been wondering about… every time I put up a post consisting mainly of photos, I get instant ‘spam likes’ from people who’ve never looked at my blog. I know this, because their ‘liking’ the post does not produce a view. And neither are they followers, who have the option of ‘liking’ posts straight from their Reader.
When I look at their ‘blogs’ (they all have WP accounts), they are usually selling stuff, including, surprise, surprise, photographic services.
I’m guessing they use some kind of software to do this, as, like I said the ‘likes’ are often produced instantly, a few seconds after I’ve posted. It’s not really a ‘problem’, but I must admit that I find it a bit irksome.

    • Ha, I know, those stupid spam comments seem to be lurking in the shadows ready to throw themselves upon us. BUT the filter is working pretty well. I hope you will get some more interesting spam soon! 😉 Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I just found this my spam filter:
“You gotta catch these insane porn videos starring the actual Dancing Bear strippers! …”
It goes on, and it’s evident that it should have read “Bar” instead of “Bear”, but it’s just too hilarious!
